This order is for one hand-crafted cake mix. Store-bought cake mixes run around 16-20 ounces. This hand-crafted cake mix is 26 ounces. That means instead of thin little cardboard-tasting store-bought mix layers, you get big, tall, beautiful and delicious cake layers.

A moist, delectable made-from-scratch cake is like a warm hug, a sweet kiss, and a trip to grandma's all rolled into one. Grab one of these old-fashioned handmade cake mixes, bake it in cake rounds, frost it--and you might as well stick some candles in it and call it your birthday. You know, one where you get to pick the number and everything.

Your order of Cake Mix includes premium cake flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder, spices, or other ingredients depending on variety. To make your homemade cake, you will only need to add buttermilk, eggs, and butter and/or vegetable oil, just as you would with a store-bought mix. (Some flavors also call for sour cream, and all require vanilla extract. Peanut butter cake requires peanut butter--you can use creamy or crunchy, up to you.) Complete instructions come with your order. Each mix will make two 8- or 9-inch layers, approximately 18 cupcakes, a 13x9 pan, or one medium-size tube pan of delicious homemade cake. Order is for one mix.
